KANSAS CITY, MO – The Health Forward Foundation (Health Forward) has awarded 37 nonprofit organizations a total of $4.3 million in 2015 mental health funding. These grants support behavioral health and family and domestic violence services, and prevention and advocacy efforts.
“Enhanced mental health care is central to the mission of Health Forward. We are proud to support these organizations that are providing quality care to vulnerable populations,” said Bridget McCandless, M.D., President/CEO of Health Forward.
In January 2014, Health Forward released its Mental Health Requests for Proposals (RFP). The foundation received a total of 58 proposals totaling approximately $9.1 million in requests.
