At Health Forward, we support our partners through open and invitation-based funding opportunities, while also supporting emerging opportunities.
How healthy we are is strongly influenced by our society’s systems, policies, and stories.
There are no open or invitation-based Platform funding opportunities in 2026, as this is a dedicated learning year to shape future funding opportunities.

We redistribute and share power with the people we serve through advancing participation in democracy, amplifying community-driven movements, and strengthening small, community-based organizations and leaders.
Health Forward awarded $4.3 million in capacity strengthening funding in February 2026. Additional funding to support civic engagement and advocacy is anticipated later this year, with awards scheduled for 2027.

We build health and wealth by improving access to safe, healthy, and affordable housing and homeownership. We’re also working to ensure everyone has the access and knowledge required to use digital tools.
In February 2026, Health Forward provided additional funding to existing partners in our digital equity cohort to support the continuation of their work for another year. In March 2026, we announced an invitation-based funding opportunity focused on creating and preserving affordable housing and expanding homeownership, with funding awards announced in May 2026.

We support organizations that provide whole-person care across the community health system from prevention to treatment to recovery and advocacy.
In 2026, Health Forward committed $23.5 million in invitation-based funding to strengthen the region’s health care ecosystem. This includes a $7 million investment to recruit and retain health care professionals through federally qualified health centers, as well as $16.5 million in multi-year general operating support to expand health care access, advance whole-person care, strengthen community-based services, and build system capacity across the region.
