Forward Focus podcast paints picture of health equity

Share

Welcome, listeners, to our newest adventure, the Forward Focus podcast.

Before we get to the episode, a brief explainer: We’re starting this podcast to add to the ways we engage with our partners and the communities we serve. We have used our blog to amplify your work in the communities, but text cannot always match the warmth of a voice or a dialogue between two friends to tell the stories of race, health, and how systems affect real people. We’ll also be featuring inspiring stories from our partners who are moving health forward across the region.

We don’t plan to release episodes each week, or each month for that matter. Instead, we are creating vignettes that will be released throughout the year. Each vignette will sound and feel a little different, but they will all build a fuller picture of moving health equity forward. Subscribing now is the best way to ensure you won’t miss the next topic, which will be an exploration of Health Forward’s policy agenda for the 2021 and 2022 legislative sessions.

This is our first episode, and we hope you like what you hear. Please subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.

Now, it’s time to hear from our president/CEO, Qiana Thomason. We were lucky to have senior program officer Andres Dominguez sit down to discuss the origins of Health Forward’s new direction that leads to greater health equity for the communities we serve.
