Important ballot measures impacting Missourians' health and reproductive freedom

On Nov. 5, Missourians will get to vote on two questions that will impact you and your family’s health for years to come: Amendment 3 and Proposition A.  Health Forward Foundation recommends you vote YES on both of these ballot questions to ensure your families and our communities continue to stay healthy and thrive.

Proposition A increases the minimum wage and allows Missouri workers, like you, to earn paid sick time. Missourians shouldn’t have to choose between their paycheck, their health, and their family’s health. But 1 in 3 Missouri working parents don’t get a single paid sick day. Voting YES on Proposition A will give workers paid sick days and help more than 338,000 kids who live in a household with someone earning minimum wage.

Amendment 3 has to do with your reproductive freedom. Missouri has one of the most cruel abortion bans in the country. Abortion is completely banned at any stage of a pregnancy, with no exceptions for rape or incest. Voting YES on Amendment 3 would overturn this restrictive and cruel abortion ban.
