Join us at the 2020 Mental Health Pre-Proposal Conference to learn about the application process and the request for proposal. We will also have a presentation on individual and organizational resilience.

We encourage individuals responsible for grantwriting, programming, or leadership to attend the conference.

Presentation: Creating a Culture of Resilience
Resilience is the ability to bend without breaking, to draw upon internal and external resources and to bounce back. We can bolster our individual resilience as well as create a culture of resilience. Discover the individual and organizational skills that strengthen resilience within yourself and your organization. Presented by Moira A. Muhlhern, Ph.D.

Presenter biography
Following an eight-year career in business, Dr. Mulhern earned a doctorate degree in community psychology with an emphasis in health. For more than 25 years, Moira has devoted her energies to providing support and education for people with serious or chronic illnesses and their support systems, as well as organizations interested in supporting the health and well-being of their employees. She has extensive experience designing and implementing stress management, resilience, support, and training programs for local hospitals, nonprofits, and companies. She is a sought-after lecturer on issues related to the management of stress, resilience, and improving human functioning and performance.

She co-founded and is currently executive director of Turning Point. This nonprofit organization provides vital support to people in our community who are dealing with serious medical challenges.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. On-site parking is available.
