In case you haven’t heard, during 2015, we have been celebrating Health Forward’s 10th anniversary of grantmaking.
Whether a celebratory picnic in the park, a luncheon and report looking back on how health has advanced in our region, or through our #AHealthy10 series, we’ve enjoyed looking back on all the amazing work that has been done to create healthier communities.
Health Forward is honored to have been a part of this progress and for the opportunity to serve the uninsured and underserved by eliminating barriers and promoting quality health. When we look back on the last 10 years, we can easily talk about the things that are easy to count in dollars and grant agreements. This past decade we’ve awarded more than $205 million in more than 2,000 grants to more than 400 nonprofit agencies. That truly is a Decade of Difference.
All of these agencies and our other community partners are working tirelessly on our collective vision of healthy people in healthy communities. During this time of thanksgiving, we want to thank all of our partners for all the work you are doing to advance the health of our region.
We thank all of you who participated with us in this project for sharing your successes over the past decade, for teaching us about the needs, and for imagining and working toward better health. We look forward to being stronger together as we continue to work to build a culture of health.
Of course we couldn’t let the occasion go by without inviting you to read our report on the Decade of Difference at our new website Health ForwardDecadeofDifference.org. This site was created to share our collective story of all the amazing work being done to improve our region.
