On Friday afternoon, Health Forward associates visited our young neighbors at the KIPP Endeavor Academy for an early Halloween treat. Staff had a fun time dressing up and surprising the K-4th grade classrooms, delivering treats and sending the kids off into the weekend with some early Halloween spirit.
Program officer Andres Dominguez said it was a good way to interact with the students. “The children see us on a daily basis, and even though we wave and they wave at us, we may still seem like strangers. So this was a way for us to show them that we are caring adults, and that we’re interested in their education.”
Although Health Forward will be relocating at the end of the school year, staff and KIPP students and teachers still share the building and often pass each other in the hallways. We were happy to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves.
We hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!
