Three weeks ago, Health Forward was proud to sponsor American Public Square’s Dinner at the Square event, The Painful Truth.
People in attendance listened to a thoughtful, informed and respectful discussion on opioid abuse and whether Missouri needs a prescription drug monitoring program. Missouri is the only state in the nation without a prescription monitoring program.
You can view photos in our slideshow above or on American Public Square’s Facebook page.
If you missed the event, the fine folks at KCPT published an edited version of the discussion.
From KCPT:
Prescription drug abuse robbed the lives of 16 thousand Americans last year. That’s more than those who overdosed from heroin and cocaine combined. Nearly a thousand of those deaths were here in our bi-state. Yet, Missouri is the only state in the nation without a prescription drug monitoring program. This American Public Square community discussion analyzes the issue.
