Health Forward awards $5.4 million in final round of Mental Health Grants

Kansas City, MO — Health Forward Foundation is proud to award $5.4 million in grants to 46 nonprofit organizations through a final round of Mental Health funding.

In January, Health Forward announced a new purpose plan and the conclusion of its previous funding focus areas. During the transition, these grants offer continued support to organizations that were awarded Mental Health funding in 2021.

“Health Forward has made a lasting commitment to ensuring mental health services are accessible for everyone, regardless of the place they live, the color of their skin, or the language they speak,” said Qiana Thomason, Health Forward President/CEO. “As we shift to new strategies, we look forward to partnerships with mental health service providers that strengthen their ability to provide equitable and culturally responsive care to our communities of focus.”

In the future, Health Forward will pursue health equity by supporting both direct health services and new initiatives related to racial equity and economic inclusion. Specific details about accessing new funding will be available later this fall.
