Mental Health

We seek to enable people to live healthy and resilient lives. We do this through improving the availability and quality of mental health services by improved capacity, access, and quality practice.

In January 2022, we announced the results of our year-long purpose alignment process. We have shared our strategies and outcomes, but we still need space and time to build them out. Moving forward, our mental and behavioral care funding will be folded into an integrated, whole-person care approach to health. To expand this approach, our grantmaking will evolve, our partnerships will diversify, and our advocacy footprint will broaden.

The remainder of this year will serve as a transitional period between our past and future grantmaking. There will be limited funding opportunities in 2022.

2022 Mental Health Grants

We will not accept unsolicited applications for Mental Health funding in 2022.

Health Forward will continue to fund organizations who received 2021 Mental Health Grants. Eligible grantees will receive additional information in February 2022, including potential award amounts. Grants will be approved in May 2022 and will end on June 30, 2023.

More information about our 2022 grantmaking is available on our deadlines page.
