Anniversary celebration recap

Thank you to everyone who attended our virtual celebration in honor of Health Forward’s 15 years! We were overwhelmed by the engaged audience comments during the event.

If you were unable to join us, you can still watch a recording of the live event. We have also published just Qiana Thomason’s keynote address, which you can read and watch at this blog post.

Coloring books available

We created a commemorative coloring book in celebration of our anniversary. It highlights a few of Health Forward’s major achievements and how we’ve collaborated with our partners to paint a better picture of health for those most in need.

If you received a Pictures of Health coloring book in the mail, we encourage you to color your favorite illustration and post an image on social media. Be sure to include #HealthForward15 with your post.

To answer your question, yes! We have extra books, and we want you to have one (or more)! Send us an email with your organization name, requested quantity (limit 25), and preferred mailing address.

Partner photos

We asked for photos of how your organization moves health forward, and you answered with your customary enthusiasm. We were thrilled with the response! We used your photos in a video montage during our 15-year event, but we received so many that we couldn’t include them all. You can find all the partner photos in this album on our Facebook page. Please tag yourself and your organization!

House of Seven Hungers

One of the most popular portions of our event was Glenn North’s reading of his poem, House of Seven Hungers. His poem was featured in a previous blog post, along with artwork from four other artists. In this blog post, you can rewatch his performance as well as read more about the artists, their artwork, and the message behind the Art for KC Voices collection.

Questions, answered

Next week on our blog we will be publishing the question-and-answer portion of the video. If you have additional questions that were not addressed during the event, please leave them in the comments section below and we’ll do our best to respond.

Once again, thank you for all you’ve done to paint a better picture of health for those most in need over the past 15 years.
